Steam Deck won't boot up properly; Black Screen
So my Steam Deck won't fully boot up now. I hear the chime, see the power light up when I push the power button and the touchpads have haptic feedback. The fans also spin up but the screen remains turned off. I've tried multiple things; volume up with power on, volume down with power on, holding power button down 15s and press again, depleted battery all the way down, charged all night, run with charger connected, opened it up, disconnected and reconnected battery, connected to usbc hub to hdmi, created recovery flash driver to try and boot off of... none of this stuff works. If anyone has found some other method, please enlighten me. I'm afraid I might have to RMA my Steam Deck after only about a month of having it.

Have you tried pressing the power button for several seconds?

No signal. When I unplug hdmi it says check cable then when I replug it in it goes back to no signal. So it recognizes it but not in a helpful way

It sucks, but it sounds like RMA is the best option.

Yeah. I’m dreading it. Do you know if RMA is still an option if I purchased this Steam Deck New from StockX?

Thanks for looking out. I can’t get anything to display on screen (even the BIOS screen) to do this. They did suggest this to me as well.

If you press volume down and power do you get the boot loader screen? If so try a reimage.

Warranty follows the serial number! You should be good to go once they ask for the serial.

This has just happened to me as well. Pressing power makes the boot up noise, I can feel haptic on the track pads and I can hear the fan, but that's all my Deck can do now. It doesn't output anything over hdmi and I cannot access bios. Sad times.

No, can’t get anything on the screen with this combo. No combos work at this time

Just got the FedEx postage. Took some time to talk through all available options with Steam Support and provide proof of purchase through StockX, but I got there!

If you try all the options Steam Support gives you and they don’t work.. eventually it’ll lead to a RMA. Seems like the turn around is a few weeks. Good luck

My Steam Deck seems to be in the exact same state as OP, opened a support ticket yesterday, hopefully a solution can be found
