PayPal pay in 4

Has anyone used Paypal pay in 4 to purchase the steam deck?

I lost 2 weeks pay due to covid and had to use my steam deck savings to pay rent, unfortunately I may be getting my email today and I get paid on Thursday lol. I have enought to cover the $150 needed for the pay in 4 so if anyone has used it I would appreciate your experience with it. Thanks.

Isn't Pay In 4 handled by PayPal themselves?

Also, OP should consider checking if there are any programs to get back lost pay; while Federal programs may have run out there may still be state or local programs to help.

Yes. But I remember another user last month or so stating it wasn't allowed when they tried.

I actually have $432 but its not enough to cover the cost of the 256gb model but more than enough to do a pay in 4 and cover expenses until Thursday

Let me know if it does work, i kinda also want to know if it will work with credit card pass through. I will have enough when it comes down to being able to buy it but in order to reduce the chances my card will block it i as considering going through paypal.

I did a test and added valve Index to my cart and selected PayPal (make sure you select PayPal and not mypaypal) and on PayPal's website it had the Pay in 4 option so I think it will work.

Not true, I did use Paypal 4X for the Deck as I had other things to buy in the same period of time.

You're welcome mate, I know it's a huuuuuuge amount of money (especially if you went like myself for the 512gb version) but yeah, i've been paying 168,75 EUR twice already (April and May) ;)

Fortunately I went with the 256gb model but it's still a large purchase considering the e price of everything has almost doubled this past year.

I got my email today and used Paypal's pay in 4 so it does work, just make sure you select "PayPal" and not "mypaypal" during checkout. Otherwise it will use your main payment method with PayPal instead of bringing you to Paypal's checkout pagr.

It should make sense because it's no different than ordering something with a credit card. Merchant gets the money and you debt and a shiny new product.
