Shift F1 and more

i know how to set a button or keybind to f2 but dont know how to set it to be Shift f2. any knowers?

Bizarrely, I don't think you can. Not in game mode at least. On desktop you can just enable multi button mode, which allows you to set a controller button to multiple keyboard/mouse/gamepad buttons. On the Deck though, this option appears to be missing. You might try configuring your controls by loading Steam in desktop mode though. I haven't tried that, but the desktop version of Steam on the Deck is the same as the other desktop versions.

Update, just checked myself. Even desktop mode lacks the multi button mode for controller configuration. That's so strange.

If you click on the gear icon, you can add a sub command or an extra command.

For those familiar with earlier Steam Input terminology, sub commands are like enabling multi-button for one activator. Extra commands are like adding additional activators.
