Steam Deck Warranty
Hi, i have a question.
If i buy a 256 GB SDeck model, and change the built-in hard-drive, it's gonna harm my warranty?

No but if you do get issues and need to claim warranty. Then you have to replace your new SSD back to it's original before sending it to Valve. Otherwise they won't accept warranty since SSD in your steam deck is not original one that came with it.

Jake is right =) It just adds a bit more work on your end.

Of course if you are mucking about on the inside and break something, that is on you, so as long as you treat it carefully, and it's a legitimate warranty issue, it should be fine.

Even if you do accidentally break something, valve offers parts you can buy to replace various things on the deck, so if you are handy enough with your mechanical skills, you can pretty much fix anything yourself too =)

You're probably best served reading the terms of Valve's warranty if you're worried. Even then, the deck is actually quite repairable should you want to replace the SSD regardless of your warranty.
