Can you use Steam Deck Dock with a deck that has a case on it?
Hey, yall! I've just ordered a steam dock and am definitely looking forward to it, but I wonder if it can work with a deck that has a case (one from amazon) on it. Do you know if it will work? Thanks.

Yeah, this was really hard to explain. Looks like I'm gonna have fun taking the case off each time just to go into docked mode. I haven't got mine yet, and if it doesn't function with the case on, well then screw it.

the deck spews out some serious hot air on very demanding games. we already had a forum user here find out the hard way not to put your deck inside the case when its running a game.

At least the stands/docks I've seen so far are designed to work without protective cases on the Deck.

Thanks, I kind of assumed I had to take it off anyways.

Ok, actually, so taking the case off doesn't take a long or difficult time, which was my concern.
