That's the 5th time in 2 days I've had a random restart and now I'm getting concerned.
- Unplug any USB type C dock/hub, only use the original power supply of the Steam deck
- Hold the power button for 10 seconds to do a reset
- Use 2 GHz Wifi instead of 5GHz
- Go to system and update my steam deck
I hope it could help
After 20 min I said f it. I held power until it turned off and continued to hold until I heard a beep. I let it power back up. Went to desktop, did all my updates from discovery store. Back to game mode, tried the update again and it powered right through in like 4 minutes. All up to date.
Side note. I'm all the way across my house in a spare bedroom with poor wifi (wife is sick in other bedroom). I lost my wifi 1/4 of the way. Brought my deck to the living room to reestablish. I wonder after reading these comments if that's what did it and why it got stuck. I connected to my extender on 2.4 for strong bars and went back into the spare bedroom. Never lost wifi and updated no issue.
To my surprise Decky Loader and all plug ins are still there.
