But I get it, I work in parcel delivery. Sometimes we just can't handle that much incoming freight and have to limit how much we pickup from the distributors in a single day. Plus allot of distributors only ship once a week, so if yours missed that window, it will be another week at least.

you can easily google. US ships from Carol Streams IL.
I live in the US in STL MO it took 8days almost 9 for me. The first 2-3 days had nothing thats called Processing where They Do Their Logistics and that following tuseday -wednesday it shipped it still took that next week.
Your complaining about something thats not in anyones control other then a driver of a semi truck most likely.
Chill and be fkn patient.
Pretty much this. I sold mine and got a GPD Win Max 2, which is just a way better portable system. It's $1000, but you get what you pay for, and I'm not a poor peasant.
It may surprise you but there's people with enough money to get a GPD Win Max 2 that prefer a steam deck for a variety of reasons. One being the Linux environment, but others being design or (this might come as shocking to you) not needing such a powerful device and hence considering it wasting money on something they don't need.
The GPD Win Max 2 is more like a micro-laptop than an handheld, but it's still a small form factor that can be used as a hand held if you choose to. I don't like the controls/input with the steam deck or GPD Win Max 2, but if you'd prefer to just pair a controller or K&M and use that, and set the device in your lap or on a desk, then the GPD Win Max 2 is a lot better. GPD Win Max 2 also works a lot better if you plan to hook it up to a larger monitor/TV. It's also a far superior device for emulation.
I got a Nintendo Switch, and play it 100% docked, and never use it handheld. Small form factor still serves a purpose if you like to just grab it and go, and it doesn't take up much space.
Overall, the GPD Win Max 2 is just a better system for those like me who like the small form factor, but don't care that much about playing portable, and prefer to play with a pad or K&M they can pair with the device.
Maybe with the 2nd version of the Steam Deck, they'll do better, and charge a price that's better for them as well, I.E. not $400. I heard they're selling or at least at one point sold these at a loss. Even they were surprised that the 512GB SSD models sold as good as they did, but people being idiots has never surprised me. Like, walk up and ask the random person, hey would you like to pay 50% more for something that's not noticeably better, or has a negligible improvement, nobody would say yes, but here we are with 512GB model steam decks.
This isn't amazon prime, this is a small team not to mention the logistical issues. 5-10 "business" days sounds pretty reasonable for a company only recently dabbling into hardware sales.
