I guess that would work too if you just "cast" it to a screen while using it as a controller.
I sometimes user my desktop PC though to stream to the Steam Link in my living room. Would be cool to use the Deck simply as an additional Controller in that case.
There was virtually no input lag and I really liked using the STEAM Deck controls for it(And I'm saying that as someone who uses a PS5 controller primarily). I was basically streaming the game from my PC to my steam deck via wifi but because of the unnoticable input lag I could play while looking at my computer screen and just use the steam deck as a controller that had a screen of the gameplay on it.
It sounds weird but it worked very well.
Does not work if you have bad wifi (like my self)
The Offical hub is not out yet, soo....
....buy one thats not official? :D If the real thing drops, you still can use it for any other USB-C device.
I use the Anker 8in 1 Hub.
Bluetooth connectivity to my PC for use as a controller would be welcome. The 3.3.2 update released yesterday immediately broke the wifi, SMH. While I have to figure out how I am going to get updates now when it can no longer sustain a connection, BT would at least be there to maintain a controller connection.
