Fan Vibration
Anyone elses deck start vibrating when the fan is at high rpms? It overwhelms the already low haptics. I've heard some people have it and some don't so I wanted to gauge some feedback.

does it go away if you slightly shake the unit?

No

for me my fan was making a rattling noise and after i opened the unit up it seemed the fan screws weren't properly tightened. tightened the screws a bit and issues were gone.

there seem to be a whole bunch of issues with the fans or the way it operates.

Also the steam deck can be shipped with 2 different brands of fans and the "wrong" fan might cause a very high pitched noise at high rpm.

Heard plenty of people RMA it for the issue(s) they had with the fan. but if you're confident enough you can try opening it up it wouldn't void warranty as long as you make sure you take proper measures.

I haven't heard of the whining fan issue with more recent units. Sounds like the same issue you had of just some loose screws.

I haven't notice it. Not saying it's not happening on my Deck, but it's not something I have noticed. I do cap most of my titles so it's pretty rare I have the fan kicking on a lot.

loose screws seen to be a common issue

It's not a whining fan, infact it's not that loud, the issue is the deck is physically shaking from the fan

I have the same problem, were you able to solve it?

That is normal and fine if you can feel little vibration while fan is in full speed.

It's also happening on my system. It's not that big of a deal for me. The fan noise is more annyoing.

Someone found out a quick and easy fix for the whiny Delta fan:
https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/uckns3/how_i_fixed_my_whiny_delta_fan_with_electrical/

All you need is common electrical tape, and it doesn't harm thermals in any way!

Valve themselves started shipping new units with a similar fix (engineered foam).
