Can you update the firmware from the deck?

Don't own the JSAUX dock but If i remember correctly when the firmware released there was a mention that one of the dock models is updated with the main USB-C cable the other one is updated by the power in port. They either sent you a picture of the wrong dock or there was some kind of miscommunication. Either way it's a completely understandable mistake.

Just install windows on the deck

I did that, and back to steamos
Then they said, we are sorry for the misunderstand
You need a usb c to c cable and connect the deck

I just used my laptop, with usb c to a

Or C
Works fine wine/proton

Dont rember witch version

I have no need to update the dock it works great out the box and thats mainly for LG tvs and Monitors who even owns LG for gaming ?

I dont know
I have sharp TV
It take 15 sec to update the firmware
Run the app, FW update
Select the firmware file
And it run for like 10-15 sec
And done

There's the Linux Vendor Firmware Service - https://fwupd.org/ - that will host firmware and let every Linux machine use it. JSAUX apparently didn't research that before they made a Windows-only firmware updater for their accessory that's intended to be used only with Linux machines. They've obviously been made aware of it since.

Just checked.... firmware still not there.
And of course, i do not own a windows pc haha. So far the jsaux dock seems to be working fine with my lg c1... fingers crossed
