Steam Deck

Elder Scrolls Online, playable on deck?
Has anyone tried getting ESO to work on the deck? I myself have a deck, but seeing as I'm not someone who is knowledgeable about tweaking stuff on computers/ the deck, I wanted to make sure that there is an easy way to get ESO to work on the deck before I do the install that will take a couple of hours!

According to protondb [www.protondb.com] the game should be playable without tinkering too much.
I recommend you to visit that website frequently to see what games can you play on your deck.

Yep, it works fine on deck for me. There were a couple caveats:

Upon installation I got a black screen, I had to bring up the On-Screen Keyboard and hit enter.

For best results, enable gamepad mode inside the game. It is hidden in one of those menus after creating a character.

I'm using the recommended controller template "Gamepad With Joystick Trackpad"

Default Proton, No Launch Options.

Sweet, thanks guys! Can't wait to play it. Also thanks for the instructions. I yet have to figure out all these "launch options", proton thingy's and all haha

I found this thing VERY helpful to get some basic knowledge about the deck.

I'm having issues with using the gamepad template. It is completely unresponsive and I have to change it back to M&KB. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks. And gamepad was enabled in ESO settings.
