No sign of Firefox in Library on Steamdeck?
Hello, steam deck user here.
Went into desktop mode and downloaded Firefox, but the application is not appearing in my library. I still have the option of downloading Chrome, but I would prefer to use Mozilla instead.
Would like to know how to fix this. Thanks.

It installs as a desktop application.
Not as a steam game.

In the desktop mode right click Firefox to open context menu and select "Add to Steam", or in the Steam application (still desktop mode) in the menu at the top select Games > "Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library..." and search for Firefox. One of these is enough and the first one should be easier.

After this you should be able to find Firefox in the library. In the gaming mode it will be under Non-Steam tab on the right side of Collections tab.

Hey, looks like your advice worked. My thanks.
Although, there is an issue now that its working; I cant right click 'anything' in the browser, and not even dropdowns for search engines are working either. Is this some kind of inbuilt prevention or something by Valve? Quite frustrating. Any idea what I could do about this?

Did you try "Steam(hold)+Left Trigger" for Right Click and vice versa?!

I'm not sure about Firefox, but Chrome has a touch UI mode that can be enabled.

I've found it handy on the deck.

chrome://flags

Touch UI Layout Enables touch UI layout in the browser's top chrome. – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Fuchsia, Lacros #top-chrome-touch-ui

This doesn't work currently. After clicking Add to Steam on Firefox, a little Steam icon pops up and bobs up and down like it's processing something but then nothing happens. Firefox also does not appear in the list of applications shown by Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library

Did you install Firefox via the Discover app?

Does Firefox work in desktop mode?
