No Signal on 4k LG Tv with JSAUX dock.
Hi guys, i just received my JSAUX Usb C dock. It works fine on my two pc monitors (1080p @ 144hz and 3400*1440p @ 100hz) but i can't get any signal on my 4k LG TV.
The deck turns into a black screen when i plug the HDMI cable and then nothing happens.
I bought the dock for this TV only so i'm a bit frustrated.
Thank you guys for helping.

This video walks through setting the dock and running it on various screens, including at 4k.

Get some help, from a therapist if possible.

This was my exact problem this week; LG TV and JSAUX USB-C dock with my Steam Deck. What finally worked for me was buying a new HDMI cable - the more expensive one that said it could handle 4K. I'm not sure if my original cable was crap and this was just a coincidence, but maybe this is a solution for you as well

So i managed to display 1080p @ 60hz or 4k @ 30hz on the tv but i can't reach the 4k @ 60 hz. My tv is the LG OLED55B6V wich has HDMI 2.0a ports. So it should support 4k@60hz. I tried with other HDMI cables but no succes so far.

Sometimes the cable can be at fault. Try using one of the other cables from one of your monitors that you were able to get to run at 4k 60, and see if that makes a difference. Glad you got it running at 30, this is progress!

If you are buying a new cable, I suggest the Club3D cables. They make exceptional cables.

LTT used a machine to check cable specs to see which actually have the features they advertise. Surprisingly a lot of them don't live up to the specs they should have. Through the above link there is an excel sheet with the test results showing which cables / brands actually work correctly.

Sadly, most of the time cables that come with devices are pretty terrible... but if it works for your other monitor, then it probably should also work for your TV? Did you test it on the other screen at 4k to make sure?

There is a whole thing about cables that a lot of people don't know. I suggest you watch this video for more detailed information...

As an example, the first thing I did when I received my 1500 dollar 43 inch 4k 144Hz monitor in the mail>? I basically got rid of the cable and immediately replaced it with a Club3D cable. The bundled cables that come with devices are almost always universally icky.

Sadly i don't have any other 4k screen here, the closest i got is my 3440*1400p monitor (max refresh rate is 175hz). I managed to use this monitor with my cable on my deck and dock at this resolution but 100hz max.

Well one thing about 4k screens, they usually will work well with a lower incoming resolution as well.

So, assuming your 4k screen is a 16 by 9 screen ratio (the most common ratio for large 4k tv's). Instead of outputting 4k from the steam deck, try setting the steam deck to output 1440p (2560 x 1440) instead, it will likely look nearly as good on your 4k screen. The TV will just upscale it to 4k and you won't notice much of a difference.

If this works fine, then the problem is very likely your cable. So put in an order for a Club3d cable, and just use the lower resolution till that arrives in the mail =).

And if it still doesn't work, you aren't out any money because amazon free returns for 30 days.

I already tried to set the steam deck output to 1440p but the deck doesn't offer me to set this resolution. As you can see on the picture i took (see the link below) it goes straight from 1080p to 2160p.
