DisplayPort/HDMI output change to limited color space?
I noticed that using DisplayPort/HDMI output delivers the full RGB range, which makes dark colors completely black on standard HDMI inputs. Is there a way to change the output color space to limited instead of full?

TIA

Not within game mode. I guess there is a Linux way :p. But the easiest way is to select the Full RGB mode within your TV/monitor.

The Steam Deck outputs always Full RGB, but the signal information seems always Limited RGB. So any TV will set itself @ Limited, while the input is actually full RGB (resulting too dark and saturated image). This is a bug, so I reported it this week: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/1/3395175706734931353/

I do not think it's a great place to patch it. HDMI/Displayport etc should have one configuration that provides the full capabilities of the display.

Gamescope should be a better place to handle this issue because it is more flexible etc.
