Steam Deck

Steam Deck

Price w/ taxes and shipping
I have the 512GB version preordered. Sadly, i didn't plan on being moved to Q3 when I was Q4. I'm curious on the price you pay when you get the email so I can make sure to have that exact amount. I'm in the USA, if you need to know.

No every US state requires taxes for online purchases. Use the Deck amount minus your deposit to calculate your state tax.

Which state?

NY. I saw it says 8% sales taxes. So $649.99 x 8% = $702 if im right. lol

I am in Alaska. My 512gb steam deck cost $644.00 at time of purchase. The $5 deposit having been subtracted from the $649 price tag. So no tax or shipping. I hope this will prove helpful to someone.

For NJ, state tax for middle model is 529 + 35.05 or 6.62%.

Here's a little tax tool to help figure exact amount for steam deck. Just choose your state and use the tax calculator on website.

I plan to get the 64GB steam deck. How much will that be after tax and shipping to FL?

Interesting. In Europe the price is VAT inclusive. So the price you see is the final price you pay.

I am a fellow European so correct me if I am wrong but as far as I know every state in the US has different VAT (or whatever the tax is called there) so the price you see in a store is not the price you will actually pay which is very weird and confusing for us in the EU.

In the EU displayed prices must include all taxes like VAT etc.

Yeah. There are some cities in the US that are using that method but it just never caught on.

This is also why $0.99 is such a popular price point. It makes you think the item is less than $1 but not after taxes.
