Soft Pull Threshold Point

On my Steam Deck, when I set the "Trigger Threshold Point" for L2 or R2 all the way down to 0, it still requires me to pull the trigger about 50% before the soft pull will activate.

Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the hardware or a bug in the software?

I am coming from the Steam Controller where I have become accustomed to using hip fire settings for the "Threshold Trigger Style". For example, in FPS games I'll set soft pull to shoot, and full pull to reload. With the lack of dual stage triggers on the Steam Deck, this is making is difficult to use hip fire trigger styles. It still works, it is just much easier to accidentally activate a full pull when trying to only use a soft pull. Using "Hip Fire Exclusive" does help accidentally misfiring of both soft and full pulls, but it's not a full solution. It would be significantly better if you could configure the soft full point to be anywhere in the full range of motion of the triggers.

If this is a bug, I will report it as such.

Late reply (found this from random internet searching) but I think it's just a hardware/mechanical limitation. Short of trying to mod the physical triggers, my workaround is to add an extra command "Cleared From Parent". It's basically a dummy "Do Nothing" command, but it allows me to configure haptics independently of my inputs, so I can effectively define my own "haptic language". For this "Cleared From Parent" command, I activate Turbo mode and customize the Repeat Rate and Haptic Intensity.

For Soft Pull I set it to a fast Turbo Repeat Rate of 10-35 with High Haptics. Albeit not a proper replacement for dual-stage triggers, it does help me feel the Soft Pull better, creating the illusion of a bit more resistance.
