shipping time question? (please answer)

I ordered my Deck 12/25/21 (US, 64 GB model)
I received my email 8/22/22 and paid within 5 hours of receiving it
its been almost a week and it still says "Shipping Soon" with no tracking number
When can I expect to get a tracking number, and after that when will I get it in hand?
I live on the East Coast btw

At the moment, it seems a lot of users are in that exact boat (myself included 256 GB model, Ireland, ordered Aug 22nd)
It seems that with the larger number of Steam Decks going out each week, there's currently a longer prep time in getting them shipped. Apparently it can now take somewhere in the 8-10 day area.

The good news is, you're not alone, it seems to be the same for everyone at the moment, so there's no reason to think there's anything wrong with your order.

I mean 8-10 from when you pay until the courier has it. So we can expect them to ship maybe Tuesday-Thursday this week.

From payment, steam support has told me, do to the large amount of orders. The warehouses are overwhelmed. And FedEx is slowly picking them up. So there is plenty of blame to go around it sounds like.

yeah for me I ordered the half TB model the day after it came up on the steam store. took 13 months for it to ship to me. May just be valve didnt expect it to be as popular as it is

It's seems extremely varied, even within region. Some folks it was 4-5 days from payment, others 10-15 days. Unfortunately, you just need to be patient and however long it takes, that's what your experience will be.

I think it depends on a variety of things. I also paid on 8/22 for the 512gb version. I got my email about shipping on 8/27 and I now have tracking info with an estimated delivery of 8/31. It is by FedEx in the United States.

Okay so I recently ordered my steam deck 64gb I ordered it the 20th got a shipping email today the 28th you can expect one around 6-8 days

So update mine shipped to day and expected delivery it tomorrow but granted. I live with in a 5hr drive of the distribution center.

You'll get a tracking number when it's scanned and labeled at a warehouse. FedEx will then deliver whenever it pleases. (It told me it would be a day early. Never arrived. Then came on the originally scheduled day. Outside of the delivery window.) Have fun with that.

Still says "in transit" on the tracking page. Hopefully it's arriving in the next few days.

It took mine over a week to arrive, and I live not too many hours drive from the distribution warehouse from where they are being shipped. Don't stress ! Valve will make sure you get your steam deck =)

As I wrote, I paid it on the 18th and it shipped the 25th, so it took 7 days. There is no estimated time for delivery, the shipping tracking (with GLS) didn't update since the 25th.

ok . so i got the complete purchase email august 1st, 2022, within four hours of gettin that. I did complete me purchase. got a notice sayin, shipped august 6th, 2022. was set to be here by august 12th, 2022. On august 7th, 2022 they moved it by 3 days, new delivery date was august 9th, 2022. that day went by, and shipping status went into pending for 3 whole days. on night it was originally met to show up(august 12th, 2022). a final date was set, August 13th 2022.

i did receive steam deck(fast storage 512 gb $649 + tax = $680) but the FedEx guy didn't need me to answer the door and sign off that in was delivered in the right hands. He just put by the front door, moved to next drop off spot.

overall. i would say fedex is not accurate with their shipping status feature. Something like a -D grade
