Was looking thru, discovery. Is their a app to play YouTube, saw some music ones..

Yeah i was having a hard time with this as well. Then i discovered youtube is a website

there are also apps for old radio streams, and unofficial programs for some more modern apps like spotify. you just need to take your time with a search engine.

i advice you to use duckduckgo, and avoid google, since it wont offer you very reliable results (it will push to the top whatever google wants, rather than whats actually popular)

lol yeah also Amazon Video/Music Netflix Hulu Twitch all run good on the device, spent hours on them the other night. need to try some games. i can verify that Pinball FX3 works and csgo too. but you really need a keyboard/mouse to play csgo, although trading/inspecting skins is fine on the Deck.

I installed the Edge browser and 3 extensions to clean pages a little-

Adguard Browser Assistant
Privacy Badger
Malwarebytes Browser Guard

but whatever browser will work i suppose.

also GIMP and VLC for media files.

oh and youre going to want CoreKeyboard installed since the steam OSK is broken in desktop mode.

i use amazon thats about it.
So its nice that plex is decent on it.
Chrome + Firefox are basically the only browsers needed for me.
I wouldnt trust malwarebytes with anything lol not sure about the other ones but id rather use an actual solution than browser addons
Gimp and vlc are basic things to have.
nah im okay with steams OSK i use the trackpads to type if im not docked and it works fine.

Eh, this app hasn't been updated in years. For just Youtube, Ferdi seems like a better option IMO. You can add Discord, Guilded, and more as well. One stop shop for anything that doesn't use DRM.

well i wasnt directing my post to you, it was for OP. but good info. anything not trollish is good help for this device lol

now back on the OSK. no. coping with the trackpads is not ok. it might be ok with you but it is in fact very broken. when you hit keys on a virtual keyboard they need to register. it's a basic function of any computer/OS that need to work . so i hope they are working on a fix soon.
