But there is also a unified pad. Did you swap to unified pad and disable mouse there?
EDIT: Yes I can. System Settings > input Devices > Touchpad > uncheck "Device Enabled"
Thanks for the hint about the separate device.
Yes, the center pad is also not bound to anything in any of my configs.
Hi,
I just purchased a dual shock 4 and I am facing the issues you guys are discussing.
I am a bit concerned about why you had to reset the steam deck
Can you please elaborate?
If this is going to be an issue later on, I rather return the DS4 I purchased in target and buy and xbox controller
So can you please explain why you had to factory reset?
Thanks.
Just use Desktop mode, go into the desktop system settings and disable the trackpad mouse, then use big picture mode from the Steam app.
System Settings > input Devices > Touchpad > uncheck "Device Enabled"
That's what I did as soon as I made my discovery in post#3.
It's a sensible workaround. Until Valve can go in and disable it by default.
Thanks for sharing...
I've been using the xbox controller, but will give this a try later today
