Or could be just a glitch switching over to the beta branch and back again may reset it..
Best to try before considering a return maybe
I've tested this, but unfortunately it didn't help. Only turning down the feedback helped. Another thing I've noticed calibrating the haptics is the motors difference in overall power with the left being weaker and the right being noisier. Intended or not, it makes this otherwise decently built device feel real cheap, especially on the right side.
I've tried changing the settings and only turning down the feedback all the way for the right side makes the rattle bearable. Pressing harder on the right trackpad eliminates the rattling, but that's no solution.
After playing around a bit more, I've noticed the left side also makes this noise when pressed, but only somewhat. As per with the right side, pressing harder makes it go away again. Now I suspect the trackpads and maybe even the motors being a loose fit causing a rattle under certain conditions (or in the right trackpad's case, always).
When booting up, the right side makes a weird rattle and buzz similar to this: https://youtu.be/e9KAX4A-Z-g?t=24
I'm in contact with support, but I feel a bit like working for QA right now. I've asked them if they can provide official reference material to determine if these noises are normal, like videos.
