Apparently, there’s an update bug with this latest SteamOS3.1 update?
Have a quick search incase I’m wrong?
I don’t have one yet Sadly 😢
But I’m Q2, so my fingers are crossed for the next 8 weeks
And Enjoy, you lucky Steam Deck Owner 👍👍
You don't need to fully charge before updating. You can simply have it plugged in while updating.
ha ty, I ordered mine the same day reservations opened and just got it today sooooo.. yea the wait is a long one but hopefully worth it :D
fingers crossed for you future S.D.O.!!!
I still haven't gotten in so I have yet to see the difference (desktop vs steam) but I will def keep this in mind going forward ty. I just finished setting my connection to be as painless for the Steam Deck (no hidden ssid, no wpa2ent, going wireless for initial setup) based on the feedback i saw....
ok... here we goooooooooo
starting setup
godspeed my friends
it isn't a big one but there is a bug with various time zones showing wrong times. lol
Has it connected to the internet yet? That is likely due to it not reaching their tk server and thus not adjusting for daylight savings? Are they an hour off? or more?
/Pre-Heats Oven
Sorry, what was that?
I almost disowned my cat for trying to climb into the box and claim ownership... don't make me get the butter.
butter for the muffins, not the cat
Yea I am thinking this as well, it is off by an hour.
Sometimes this will be due to your ISP as well. Some ISPs will block port 123 (the default NTP port) due to its use in DDoS reflection amplification.
EDIT: Also, I don't need muffins or cat... just one neatly repackaged Steam Deck
But if you're making muffins... are they at least blueberry?
psh 'at least' blueberry
If you draw a breath and smell a pungent flower, do you ask if it is 'at least' beautiful?
your lack of appreciation for both muffins and blueberries is worrying.
I think you're better off asking the guy that has 6 steam decks 8 steam decks
* Read the Deck HowTo(s) at gamingonlinux.com.
* If you want to do flatpak stuff & save some space, I've made post here on "flatpak" info and "proton_dist.tar" clean up.
awesome ty retrogunner I will definitely look into the linux resources soon. I have 0 desire to windows. I'd rather carry and stream from a win device than bog down my shiny new deck.
I am (cautiously) quite impressed with the Steam Deck so far from a HW perspective. I know that there aren't many games that will use the controls as well as the Aperture Desk Job tech demo, but wow... this is definitely impressive.
I've had wired peripherals with more pronounced input lag... and I am talking about input from deck registering on the host device :/
very impressive indeed
