what if there was an option to display the battery as overlay, like the fps-gpu-cpu monitor?
and i mean as an additional tool, rather than integrating that info there, so it could consume less space; maybe the battery monitor could include the option to show or hide one or more clocks (more than one, for different time zones or countries; could be useful for travelers)
Luckily, it sounds like an easy feature request for the SteamOS Plug-in Manager[github.com] covered on Gaming On Linux[www.gamingonlinux.com] given that with Linux, you can 'list out' the status from the command line in numerous ways[www.cyberciti.biz].
For example, on my 3 Odroid Go Advance/Supers, I've a shell script that outputs the
`cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/status` # whatever that specific device's path is.
So, a little python/html/javascript and blammo - detailed battery & charging status using the community SteamOS Plug-in Manager. Something you (or someone you know) could make in hour. (I'd make it but I don't have my Steam Deck yet to do so.)
Cheers, retro.
