Australian Prices
So i worked out the prices for AUD when its available in the country. (Thanks to SteamDB/Valve Index Retail Prices)

512 GB: $1,199 AUD
256 GB: $959 AUD
64 GB: $699 AUD

These prices include TAX, Landed, etc all covered. And I'm sure EBGames will be the retailer.

Surely Valve will be the retailer?

Valve partnered with EBGames for the Index in Australia. It is only fitting to do the same with the Deck.

dam that is alot vs normal price XP but guess everything just cost more in Australian

I didn’t know that, I thought valve always sell hardware from their own storefront only.
I got my valve Index & steam controller straight from them in UK.
Never seen anyone else stock their hardware
Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for one 🤞
the chip issue seems to be easing off finally

Australia is special in that way. It was far easier to partner with a brick and mortar retailer then to do the logistics themselves. Because Aus is a pain to do.

Controller and Link were available in many high street shops.
