firefox keyboard?

hi guys

as u probably know, firefox is already installed on the deck also set as non-steam game. so far so good.

but sadly i dont get a keyboard when i click into the url line or like in the searchbar of google or youtube

how am i supposed to use a web browser without a keyboard??

i dont have a deck, but my guess thats because its a desktop browser, and that behavior only exists in mobile. have you tried "onboard" keyboard, or calling the steam keyboard with the shortcut?

there is absolutelly a keyboard in the steam os surface, but when firefox or any other app is opened within steamos, it doesnt show up automatically when i can type text.

So holding "STEAM" button then pushing "X" doesn't work when Firefox browser, now what?

It does work. However, if you are in Desktop mode, it requires Steam to be running for the shortcut to function.
