We're just worried about voiding the warranty by opening the unit and checking to see if the battery cable is connected or else we would have tried that by now. If it comes down to RMA I feel like they might say we ruined it by opening it.
RMA is always better.
They aren't crazy either like some company.
I would still say it's better to not open it tho.
Your unit is probably already made and wait in a warehouse lol.
Plug charger back in, power on device
This solution worked like a charm. Hoping there will be a fix for this from happening.
How to enter shipping mode, there's a few ways this is how I do it. Shut down the Deck. Hold the volume up button and press the power button, it'll boot up to the selection screen, go to the lower right "Setup Utility". -Once there go down to Power -First option there is "Battery storage mode" select and hit enter. A prompt will come up explaining what will happen next.
Im fine with the wait though to be real
Calibrate the battery
Charge to full (about 2-4 hours)
Use until battery dies
Try to turn on, maybe even plug it in for a bit to force it to start and after it gets to login unplug and let it drain
Plug it in and don't turn it on. If it turns on somehow, let it drain and try again
Let it charge overnight, 6-8 hours.
