Steam Deck
World of Warcraft Shadowlands on the Steam Deck
I'm currently playing World of Warcraft Shadowlands on the Steam deck and It runs very smooth, all without further installations.

First download the Battle.net launcher via browser.

To add a non-Steam game to your library, first launch the Steam client on the Steam Deck desktop and click on the Games option in the top menu. Then select Add a non-Steam game to my library from the drop-down menu. Select the battle.net launcher from the download directory here. default = \home\deck\Downloads

Right click the launcher in the steam library and select under properties compatibility "Proton 7.0-1"

Select and start the launcher in the Steam library.

Enter the account data via Steam keyboard or Bluetooth keyboard.
Steam Overlay Keyboard: STEAM + X

Download WoW via battlenet launcher and start it after download.

Cancel the intro video with ESC: STEAM + control pad left

I could only create a new char with a Bluetooth keyboard because the steam keyboard doesn't work as an overlay in wow and you have to enter a char name.

Once in game you have to enter a chat command via bluetooth keboard to activate the controller functions.

/console GamePadEnable 1

I also installed "ConsolePort" as a wow addon, which makes playing much easier and allows you to chat via the Steam Deck Controller.

I was just curious if WoW runs on the steam deck and can be played with the SD controller without any problems.

I no longer play WoW myself and used a Starter Edition account for the test.

In any case, this works very well at a high frame rate. Thanks to ConsolePort, there is also very good controller support.

I'm already on the next test and trying to get XBox Gamepass to work.
