It'd be nice if they added a true offline mode for the Steam Deck; I keep wanting to pick this up since it'd be more performant than the Switch version, but the requirement to launch it online first keeps holding me back.

Ive seen the videos too, but I doubt that they would just start updating a game that hasnt been updated in like 3 years. I would even say a sequel is more probable than this.

Mojang has confirmed that the 1.17 update for Minecraft Dungeons, released in November 2022, is the final update for the game. The development team has moved on to new projects within the Minecraft universe. While there are no plans for a sequel or further updates to Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang continues to explore new experiences and games related to Minecraft.
