It's absolutely beautiful to play, voice acting/story is engaging there's lots of fun to be had in mixing found items/effects for maximum destruction and seasonal challenges add more to do.
The only downsides I can see are that the hidden secrets are totally unhidden- you end up looking in every nook and cranny Warframe Kuria-style overthinking it but it's really not that hard, and for a Minecraft game the lack of destructibles is a very odd decision. I get that it's effectively a Gauntlet-reskin in a static map but the lack of breakables comes off oddly flat in play.
Did they never play Skylanders, Ratchet and Clank, the Lego series etc? Not asking for terrain deformation, but a few barrels, destructible objects and the odd breakable wall to reveal a secret would add to the fun and breathe more life into it. 'Minecraft' where you can neither mine nor craft is a bit weird.
Great fun, especially for younger players and multiplayer mashup (just like Gauntlet) but don't go expecting Path of Exile or anything.
Award Edit: It appears nuance and context is dead. Oh well, thanks for reading!
Update: Ah, I did not realise you can adjust the mission difficulty scale. Setting it to WH40K Inquisitor-style between Hard and Impossible gives a much better experience for seasoned vets.
