HOW TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER ON STEAM??????
I am so upset, I can't play multiplayer with my friend on steam. I can't even invite him, there's a thing on my screen that says "add controller". why? how do i play with another person on steam? We both have it on steam, me and my friend. It also says add controller to play local multiplayer? why? we don't own a freaking controller.

can someone help please? when my friend tries to invite me to a game, I keep getting this message, "You'll need a new app to open this ms-xbl-multiplayer link" what the hell is going on? how do i play multiplayer on steam?

Local multiplayer is an option if you're playing on the same console/PC so you don't need to worry about that since it doesn't apply to your situation. Anyways, I can't help more than that. Sorry.
