Cross-play multiplayer question.
The game looks super fun so I got it for some family members on Nintendo. I don't want to play it on Nintendo and instead want to play it on my PC. They have Nintendo online, will I still be able to play with them online via Steam or will I have to purchase the game from Microsoft for cross-play?

I was wondering about crossplay myself but more with Xbox, since my nephew has this on Xbox.

I would imagine that's a little easier being that they're both on PC.

edit: sorry I meant they're both Microsoft.

No matter if it's purchased on Steam or Microsoft?

It dont matter, if you upload your character on switch, you can continue on another platform by downloading it from the cloud in your chosen platfrom

Can I play on PC with my son on PS4 or any console for that matter?
Its crazy how i enjoyed it more on the Switch than on my pc with the higher FPS. dont know why that is... i put more time into the switch version.

True, I think it's the portability of it. I play it most exclusively on the Switch as well, that is until my Steam Deck comes in and I'll be MCDing it up on that 100%.

Good luck without that internet connection. There were a few threads here about 2 weeks ago on that very thing.

It's possible to play MCD without an internet connection, and that's exactly what I do on my Switch. I take it to work all the time without internet. I haven't played on PC in a few months because it's such a hassle to upload and download characters. It's really not a big deal, it's just not as seamless as one might think. Well I mean it is you just have to download or upload the right character. Regardless, I'm looking forward to playing MCD exclusively on the SD in a few weeks.

I wish I knew this when I was arguing with those other "Game forces online is bad" morons in another thread a few weeks ago. Thanks.
