The Chapter 2 "Iceberg" [Random Extreme Spoilers]
EDIT: I have added some corrections.

Here are some things I've noticed:

Despite the overall message of "your choices don't matter" in Chapter 1, a surprising amount of choices carry over into Chapter 2.

- Noelle will gift Susie a lunchbox full of chalk if you talked to her in town during Chapter 1. (That scene alone made speedrunning Chapter 1 again worth it)

- The ORIGINAL Starwalker will make several cameos in Chapter 2 if you talked to him in Chapter 1.

- Your Thrasher machine makes a comeback. Twice.

---
Kris is a puppet. But for whom? The player? In addition, Kris is still able to assert some level of control with his facial expressions and inflection without player input.

- Kris tears out his soul to temporarily free himself from time to time. In Chapter 1, he was so fed up with being controlled that he devoured an entire pie just to feel like he was in control again. In chapter 2, he slashes Toriel's tires to ensure Susie will remain at the house while they open a dark fountain.
CORRECTION: Kris opened the portal in the computer lab at the end of Chapter 1 and then left his knife in the pie tin for an alibi. An alibi... to prove to whom? US? In the Chapter 2 ending, the camera remains with the heart- Kris is able to completely walk off camera on his own. We do not get to see what he does outside! Then he shoves his soul in-between the couch cushions to then open the portal- maybe he thought we couldn't see what he was doing if he did that?

- Kris has been known to occasionally play the piano at the hospital. When you try to play though, you fail. He also appears outraged when Susie remarks on their "skill". Kris knows how to play piano. YOU do not.

- Spamton G recognized that you were a puppet like himself. When Susie asks if you're okay after the fight, two things can happen: you say a strained, unconvincing "yes" or you outright scream "no".

- Kris' feelings towards Noelle are completely unknown. You can lean towards friendship or towards a romance yet the player decides all the dialogue. Kris is just there for the ride.
CORRECTION: Remember when I said Kris was still capable of influencing his voice and facial expressions? There are some in-game examples of Kris goofing around and seemingly enjoying himself with Noelle of his free will despite being puppeted. He is still able to take solace and comfort in some things.

- In Chapter 1, you can choose many dialogue options that imply you know of the events that happened in Undertale. You can talk to Undyne about Alphys. You can tell Sans "it's good to see you again" even though Kris and Sans have somehow never met.

---
Then there's Kris' situation with Asriel.

- Kris is afraid college will have changed Asriel. Maybe he'll be too grown up to play anymore.

- If you give the gift to Noelle, she'll remark something along the lines of "haven't given her a gift since we were kids. Wait, does this mean you want things to be like they were?" This is Kris' fear and desire- he wants things to remain the same... to not grow up, to not change, to not drift apart from his childhood friends.

- Kris has googled "college break when".

- Kris refuses to peek inside Asriel's digitized room.

---
Gaster scammed Spamton G.

- What is implied to be Gaster wants to open dark fountains to destroy the world.

- What is implied to be Gaster helped Spamton G to "become a big shot." Gaster later abandoned Spamton G to instead help Queen for unknown reasons (Gaster and Spamton seemed to have a falling out, maybe because Queen was willing to open a dark fountain and Spamton wasn't?)

- Spamton G only picks up the repeatedly-ringing phone when he is NEO. The sound of a ringing phone is also present in his theme song. It seems that he and Gaster only communicated through the phone before Spamton cut all contact with him. He is forever tormented by the ringing.

- What is the [missing hyperlink] that Spamton G tries to repeatedly "sell" us on?

- What is to be implied to be Gaster gifts you random eggs in each chapter. In addition, Spamton G has some remarks about "eggs" and his NEO phone shoots out eggs. Spamton G is even attacked by his own phone at one point.

- Who is Mike? Why is 1997 important to Spamton G? (It's literally a soda commercial from 1997. Toby you wily dog.)

--
Noelle Stuff

- Noelle's mom might be the mayor (Alphys confirms the mayor is your neighbor)... and might also be a meh mother. Noelle is completely taken aback when Queen acts like a loving mother towards her at times.

- Kris has a history of pranking Noelle. This iwas the time before he became a puppet.

- The 25th of "last month" if very important to Noelle for some reason (it's Christmas).

- Noelle likes being scared. Like... to the point of being turned on by it (such as when her heart audibly thumps and she's smiling when Susie claims "if she was an enemy, we'd easily kill her" or whenshe goes on a tangent about Susie pushing her to the floor or something). Deers and adrenaline, eh? I guess that is the crux of why she crushes on Susie.

- Noelle's father is probably not going to recover.

- D E C E M B E R
CORRECTION: "December" is probably the name of Noelle's sister (of whom she refers to as "Dess"). I was getting some vibes that Dess might not be alive anymore... which might explain why Noelle was overwhelmed and failed the spelling bee when asked to spell "DECEMBER".

--
Some misc things

- Susie is either an orphan or has neglectful / abusive parents. She does not call to tell them she's staying over at Kris'. Also, her posture immediately changes when she meets Toriel. She keeps her head up, back straight, and her shoulders back. She watches her language and even walks like a soldier when she goes to wash her hands. Susie would not go to such lengths to show respect to Kris' mother unless Susie had a very different idea of what a parent is- someone to be feared and respected. Susie doesn't respect the authority of her teacher Alphys.... but maybe she fears her parents because they discipline her too hard?

- Why are Asgore and Toriel divorced if the crimes Asgore committed in Undertale never happened? Possibly related, Asgore used to be on the police force but was laid off for unknown reasons (Kris might know why as he is reluctant to continue reading the newspaper clipping in the police station).

- Asgore is not okay. He keeps a smile on but it is clear he hates how things turned out with his life. Also, why DOES he keep seven flowers in glass cases? And he... talks to them too.

- Onion-san hears a snippet of a song deep in the ocean. They claim to have heard it before- the entire song- long ago. They leave to go find it.

- Shyren is supposed to be dead, yet a look-alike can be seen at the hospital. You cannot examine Shyren's gravestone in Chapter 2 (as Susie will interrupt you), only in Chapter 1 can you read it.
CORRECTION: It was apparently Shyren's sister who passed away.

- Gerson's hammer might become important later. His daughter doesn't seem happy that it is buried with him.
CORRECTION: Father Alvin, not Gerson's daughter.

- You need the Throne of the Gods to bypass the Supreme Table. (This is not possible to do).

- Ralsei somehow knows what the interior of your house looks like.

- Mettaton NEO's remains are in the dark world while Mettaton is actually "alive" and well at Napstablook's house. Spamton G would also "pray" to the remains.
CORRECTION: In-game text implies the actual Mettaton was coding a game at the computer lab and "Mettaton NEO" was an assist. Eventually Mettaton gave up and scrapped the project.

- Chaos King and Queen act like they're married but they are not. Queen claims to be Lancer's mom but Chaos King disagrees?

- The little white dog runs you over!

- WHAT is the "Heaven's Gate"? Why is it mentioned but never elaborated on in Ralsei's prophecy? Why does Spamton G talk about "heaven"?

- Terry, not Jerry.

- Bananas?

- BIG SHOT BIG SHOT BIG SHOT BIG SHOT BIG SHOT

- (Bottom of Iceberg) Snowgrave route. This is worse than the Genocide route in Undertale. It is some seriously some messed-up crap. My life was better before I learned about it. Do not read if you like fun.
You basically take advantage of Noelle and groom/train her to be Chara 2.0. You do this by forcing Noelle to use Icemist on every enemy, turning her into a cold-blooded murderer. You manipulate and command her every move "to become stronger". You do some serious yandere-level crap to push your romantic feelings onto her / get her to obey your every command. She becomes permanently changed for the worse, eventually even murdering Birdley under your orders.
Snowgrave irrevocably alters the story for the worse.

And on a chessboard, that is the movement of the KNIGHT

Where was this again? Oh man keeping track of all these little things between chapters is gonna be a headache.

It's Shyren's sister, Shyra, who is buried in the Graveyard. I guess that the character in hospital is Shyren.

25th of last month is christmas, you know xd

The month of December is important to Noelle and likely in a bad way I think. She mentions the "four" of you playing together when you were younger, likely Kris, Asriel, Noelle, and Dess her sister. I think something may have happened to Dess in the month of December as she doesn't seem to be around anymore. Or maybe it has to do with when her dad fell ill.

Edit: December is also the word she got stuck on in the spelling bee, highlighting its importance even more to her.

I find it cute that Noelle misspelled December during the spelling-bee backstory but ended spelling it right when she was having that deep conversation with you before the car ride with the Queen.

Mettaton's house is next to San's store. You can talk to Mettaton through the door. It's believed that he's in his ghost form since alphys didn't make him the robot body in this timeline.

He talks about some music by tomorrow, so he may be in the next chapter.

Or are you talking about the NEO remains? If so, look up the secret boss.

Wait, how is it implied to be Gaster that scammed Spamton?
Om3ga-Z3ro Sep 18, 2021 @ 8:37pm
I never told her about the chalk and she still gives Susie the box of chalk.

I replayed the whole 1st chapter to jog my memory of the games story and I know I didn't select chalk.
Mysterio Sep 18, 2021 @ 8:37pm
Here's another one for you- there's a hidden route where the player manipulates Noelle into killing Berdly, along with every enemy she meets. Noelle becomes terrified of Frisk and has different dialogue with them.

"Ralsei somehow knows what the interior of your house looks like."
On that i might have a little theory about Ralsei considering some things that happen in chapter 2. First off, how come Ralsei can get to the library without going into your pocket? All the other characters need the help of lighteners to move between worlds (as demonstrated in the beginning of chapter 2, Lancer and stupid puzzle man who go into your pocket and near the end of chapter 2) but Ralsei doesnt even mention how he even got into the library the way he did. Another weird thing is the description of the small closet in the library at the end of the chapter that mentions how "a whole person could fit in there" for no apparent reason. But, if you look into the room that chapter 1 takes place in you might notice that it has a locked door to the left, meaning that both the library room and that school room have a secret hiding place for someone to use. My last point is how, despite not belonging to the library, Ralsei somehow doesnt turn into a statue. How is that even possible? Unless this is some kind of unexplained flaw in the plot, i think its actually a hint that Ralsei may be hiding a few secrets about his identity.

Ralsei is actually Asriel in a disguise confirmed sorry but thats just a theory a game theory

There's an NPC that appears outside of Spamton's shop after you defeat the secret boss. His dialogue implies that Spamton was in contact with Gaster.

- "Despite the overall message of "your choices don't matter" in Chapter 1, a surprising amount of choices carry over into Chapter 2."

Toby meant that you can't get different endings, but just like with Undertale, some choices affect the game in the short term and other minor flavourful ways

- "Kris' feelings towards Noelle are completely unknown. You can lean towards friendship or towards a romance yet the player decides all the dialogue. Kris is just there for the ride."

This really banks on your not being Kris, i like it

- "In Chapter 1, you can choose many dialogue options that imply you know of the events that happened in Undertale. You can talk to Undyne about Alphys. You can tell Sans "it's good to see you again" even though Kris and Sans have somehow never met."

These are just gags, it's like Toby going "hey, i know y'all miss these characters, you can talk to them just like before, but they don't remember you, have fun"

- "Kris is afraid college will have changed Asriel. Maybe he'll be too grown up to play anymore."

Idk what implies that, even if Ralsei has a direct connection to Asriel, i don't see anything that implies either

- "If you give the gift to Noelle, she'll remark something along the lines of "haven't given her a gift since we were kids. Wait, does this mean you want things to be like they were?" This is Kris' fear and desire- he wants things to remain the same... to not grow up, to not change, to not drift apart from his childhood friends."

That's just Noelle's toughts, she is nervous all the time and such a conclusion was logical

- "Kris has googled "college break when"."

Simply wants to know when Asriel is back, mah hart, mah sole

- "Kris refuses to peek inside Asriel's digitized room."

Kris is smart, who knew

- "What is implied to be Gaster wants to open dark fountains to destroy the world."

Kris is opening the fountains, we see this at the end, the fountain at the school was the first one

- "What is implied to be Gaster helped Spamton G to "become a big shot." Gaster later abandoned Spamton G to instead help Queen for unknown reasons (Gaster and Spamton seemed to have a falling out, maybe because Queen was willing to open a dark fountain and Spamton wasn't?)"

AFAIK the whole big shot thing seems to be part of his spambot nature, there are no implications of Gaster working with the queen

- "What is the [missing hyperlink] that Spamton G tries to tell us repeatedly about? It appears to be something that Gaster promised him?"

Again, that's part of his nature as a spambot, since he was replaced and forgotten, any of the links he used to reference are also no longer available, it's a common thing with older web sites, it talks of how he is slowly fading from existence, an important topic with Gaster actually

--
Noelle Stuff

- "Noelle's mom might be the mayor (Alphys confirms the mayor is your neighbor)... and might also be a meh mother. Noelle is completely taken aback when Queen acts like a loving mother towards her at times."

Reinforced by her father talking of how rough Noelle's mother is with her daughter

- "Kris has a history of pranking Noelle. This iwas the time before he became a puppet."

No? the pranks go all the way back to their childhood, Kris is also really weird and even mischievous, so pranks are something to be expected from him

- "The 25th of "last month" if very important to Noelle for some reason (it's Christmas)."

She is a walking Christmas reference, i wonder if this will matter in later chapters

- "Noelle likes being scared. Like... to the point of being turned on by it (I'm being serious, there were several times I thought this). Deers and adrenaline, eh? I guess that is the crux of why she crushes on Susie."

I don't know where you take the turned on part from, but it does comfort her, apparently because it reminds her of better times and likes being cared for

- "Why are Asgore and Toriel divorced if the crimes Asgore committed in Undertale never happened? Possibly related, Asgore used to be on the police force but was laid off for unknown reasons (Kris might know why as he is reluctant to continue reading the newspaper clipping in the police station)."

Really want to know too, judging by his role in the police force, it was probably something he did while on duty

- "Asgore is not okay. He keeps a smile on but it is clear he hates how things turned out with his life. Also, why DOES he keep seven flowers in glass cases? And he... talks to them too."

People who love plants sometimes talk to them, it's not uncommon, he is also a cheery person but his divorce is really hard on him, it's clear that it was Toriel's decision to break up

- "Shyren is supposed to be dead, yet a look-alike can be seen at the hospital. You cannot examine Shyren's gravestone in Chapter 2 (as Susie will interrupt you), only in Chapter 1 can you read it."

Probably her children, we also have what seems to be Snowcap and Jerry's children in front of the church, this implied that if Undertale and Deltarune where in the same universe, Deltarune would have happened long after the events of the first game

- "Ralsei somehow knows what the interior of your house looks like."

Ralsei knows a LOT of things, including the library, since he is a prince of the dark world i imagine he has existed since the beggining of time and also has deep knowledge of real world places and objects, since those are the only things that transfer to the dark world. Altho there HAVE been lightners before Kris and company, but he doesn't know Kris before chapter one

- "Chaos King and Queen act like they're married but they are not. Queen claims to be Lancer's mom but Chaos King disagrees?"

Queen literally says she just made up the mom part on the spot, they are not married, but they DO know each other, this reinforces the fact that even before a dark world is created, the darkners already know other objects that could transfer to the created dark world
