Pantheon questions
So I won my first game. And I noticed that race I made and the leading hero is in my next game. Pretty cool. However are any changes to that hero or race in the new game permanent? Transformation / alignment changes?
If In another game I manage to recruit that leading Hero, swap his equipment. Will that be permanent? Thanks :)

Racial transformations applied to your Ruler are permanent for them and will transfer over, but the race itself gets factory reset back to normal.

From what I've read, the AI is supposed to remember the transformation path you took, and try to follow those tomes in future playthroughs, but I don't know how accurate this is.

If you play as an Ascended Ruler, and manage to win another game, you will have the option to 'overwrite' them by uploading the new version to the pantheon instead.

Not my post I know but I also have a follow up question.

Can you recruit your ascended as hero's under your other characters?

Yes, if they are set to Hero on the pantheon roster. Click your Pantheon banner in the top right of the main menu screen, and it should pull up a drop down menu of all your ascended characters.

If you have them set to ruler / leader (forgot what it's called), they'll show up as enemy factions. If you set them to Hero, they have a random chance of contacting you in future games, offering to join you as a free hire.

You can also set them to both, if I remember correctly, which is a coin toss between which one they'll appear as.

Yes. They follow your exact tome order. And when they reach the end of your order they just pick randomly.

But up to that point they follow it to a T.

This means ascended leaders can be much harder than normal ones. Since, if you used a competent build while playing them, they will also use a competent build. Not as well, but they will copy it. Which is WAY better than their default builds that have no cohesion.

Only downside is that the AI levels the leader horribly. The skills it picks are just terrible. So they won't be as strong as they were for you.

-I ascended like, 20 leaders and exclusively fight against ascended leaders. ^.^

Important to Note. Since ways of War we can hire one pantheon ruler directly. More with cult of personality. They cost imperium.

You can now also directly "Recruit from Pantheon". It costs Imperium, but the price goes up like crazy. Most people probably don't want to spend 1500 Imperium on that.

Once a pantheon hero contacts you, recruiting is free (but you may have to wait like 30 turns for a free spot).
