Now in the announcement they mentioned Serena making a come back who's basically the closest thing to a Fey leader (fairy winged hippie... well sad hippie!). We will also have to see what animals we can pick with the new culture and whether there's a more Feyish choices in addition to more Sylvan ones.
One could argue that the existing and original Nature Tomes already kind of cover the "fey look," with Naga Form filling out the Mer side of things.
There is Fey Touched, which seems to be a minor transformation.
I'm slightly disappointed, I'll be honest. Was hoping for a major Fey themed transformation. But I'll accept the Naga form as a consolation prize.
And ideally you could define dos and don'ts in the faction AI section to define which tomes to pick or not to pick and which transformations to pick or not to pick, defining your faction as vague or precise as you want them as AI player.
Yeah, both tomes in Dragon Dawn were Nature / Chaos, and one of the tomes in Ashes and Empires was also part Materium / Nature. Now with Primal Fury, both tomes are Nature / Astral.
Eldritch Realms is almost certainly going to be Shadow related, due to the color scheme they decided to go with. But unless they add in a bunch of tomes like they did with Ashes and Empires, this season of DLC is going to be heavily Nature focused.
Well, maybe one of the Primal Culture animal aspects is indeed a Dragonfly and gives Dragonfly wings!! Could happen! :D
Edit: No luck, but Primal subculture options seem pretty cool (late to the stream so looking at beginning right now). Mire Crocodile. Storm Crow, Glacial Mammoth, Ash Sabertooth, Dune Serpent, Tunnelling Spider and Sylvan Wolf (the most fey sounding one). :p
Athletic gives you a movement speed bonus of 40 points, as opposed to the regular 30 something.
Stack the Athletic trait on top of Crow worship, and watch your scouts practically zoom around the map!
Yep when I posted I hadn't seen the stream yet. I love the sub culture affinity variation. Now i'm looking to see if the stream or newly posted dev diary has a pic of what "Feytouched" minor transformation looks like.
Anyways i'm really looking forward to this DLC. It really does recreate one of my favourite custom factions into something better, being my Fey Mystic faction. All the off nature/astral tomes can now be replaced by fey related ones which actually fit more of the summoner aspect of it. Even replacing Mystic Culture with Primal Crow Culture looks like a cool thing to do. We will see. :p
Far as I can tell, it just makes your eyes glow with trails of pale green light.
Totally Fey! Who needs dragonfly wings?!
lol
Actually it would have been cool if it could have given your units a mist FX around them.
