Sell the body? I then retain all items?
That is what it says.
Lol oh crap, sorry, I hadn't even moused over that option as I was more concerned with how to get the gear. Nice one! Thank you.
You always have a crypt. The specific city upgrade just lets you gain stuff for having heroes in it.
(Not sure what happens if you lose your throne city though, it says specifically "in the crypt of Throne City Name" so presumably you can free captured heroes if you take an enemy throne? Or capture them yourself? Anyone know what happens then?)
Hey I was wondering if you might be able to answer a question for me..?
Do you know if the animating corpses from crypts is tied to dark culture specifically or is it the tome of souls that makes is available? Thanks :)
Yeah all bodies and prisoners factions capture are kept in their throne city so if you siege them and take them out you get the bodies and prisoners … (at least you get your own back I’m not sure if you get others too if they have more in there) but if a ruler takes out one of your heroes and you want them back if you’re thinking of bringing them back from the dead that’s how you’d go about it :)
Wizard tower upgrades (cells, crypt) give you income (research, mana) for imprisoned/dead heroes.
They also allow you to resurrect dead heroes, or convert/execute imprisoned ones.
Dark culture has some additional structures that bolster the income from having imprisoned/dead heroes. (There may be others somewhere in a tome, but Dark is the one that comes to mind.)
Even with those structures though, getting 2 knowledge/turn is a lot less useful than getting, say, 140 gold and a bunch of magic items. So I usually end up selling the corpses anyway.
You need to have one of the tomes of necromancy started. Like souls or necromancy or any of the tomes that unlock the trait that lets you collect souls. This is a way to make heroes of other cultures that you don't control undead if you went the wightborn path and want the buffs to undead to work on the hero. I haven't tried this but if you can get your pantheon hero that shows up in the campaign killed during a fight and you win the fight, he might go in your crypt and you might be able to undead him. Otherwise you can't do anything with the pantheon heroes regarding race transformations.
