Island is corrupted - but no core to destroy

So i encountered an Island that is corrupted. Book shows Ecosysthem is 100% but when i try to gather something it tells me to destroy the core. But theres nothing.

there is some trees with bulb, u got to destroy and then the defenders attack u, 2-3, kill it 2 x most times, thats what i did

I have that too. Its known issue , the devs will patch it (check their response in FAQ)

I had an island with a hidden cave underneath with a second tree

Yeah I have the same. No corruption nodes, no hidden caves. Right on the edge of a zone next to the big flying rocks.

The island you are talking about looks less corrupted but dead to me :D in my game it is marked with a skull and i will just leave it like that lol cant save everything ;)
