No Birdhouse to Repair and No Animals Anywhere. Softlocked.
100% softlocked now, I had hoped the update to reduce the animals would have helped and while It did let me fix 1/2 of the remaining islands my last one I can't fix because there aren't any animals nor have I been able to find any bird house recipe. The upsetting bit is before the update that island had 2 sheep on it but now they are gone.

Reading in various places online supposedly the bird house recipe is found on sick island and you're supposed to repair and sketch it. That never happened for me and after searching every single island several times over, spending around 3-4hrs looking high and low for rogue animals or bird houses I will have to just shelve this until it's fixed.

Also it'd be nice if things like rocks and burnt stumps respawned. What if someone uses all their charcoal to clean water or something? They'd suddenly be softlocked as well because as far as I am aware there is no way to make charcoal, at least not in the early stages of the game. All crafting resources should respawn on islands given enough time passed while away from them.

i had this....
look for islands that u may not have been to, if so go there
land on every island and open your book, if it says fix habitat your on the island with a bird house- go fix it and sketch it.

use the table to see the islands and left click on every one of them and visit it to see if it has bird house

things do respawn but takes ages best thing is to spam plant trees and keep rotating your visits to islands soon enough youll get enough resources for things.

I've done this probably 5 times over for every single island i can go to, it simply does not exist. There is only 1 island on my map left to fix and it's not there.
When you say that you've searched "all the islands" do you mean:
"I've searched all the islands in the entire first ring of the map"?

or do you mean:
"I've searched every island within the tiny section of the map that was visible to me when I built the map"?

i have a small island that says repair the bird house, but there is no bird house...i chopped down all the trees and removed all buildings and mined all stone, nothing blocking my view of island and still no visible birdhouse

I mean the entire explorable map of Emerald Isle, 6 rings/sets of islands. 36 islands in total.
Yeah... that's not the whole first available part of the map though, that's just one segment of the outer ring on the map.

The outermost ring of the map, where emerald isles is located, is split into 12 segments that each have a rougly comparable amount of islands, and you aren't in any way locked from entering the other segments, so long as you stay in the same ring of the map (ie as long as you just don't cross blue stripey line on the map).

Just set a waypoint with your map in one of the unexplored segments in the same circle as emerald isles, fly towards it and enjoy :)

That is very helpful, i was unaware i could continue outside of the section. I'll give it a try
No problem mate, happy I could help, and I really hope you find a birdhouse in one of the other map sections :)

To find a f***ing Bird house is a no no. Searched every island on 2 areas for hours and hours but no bird house found :-( . I hope it's not one of those games where we have to keep going backwards and forwards to different areas. Oh well onwards and upwards lol :-)
