How do i bring animals to other islands?

I found a couple of islands that need animals to be restored already but the numbers were way to high and i didnt have enough or any. Now i do have a couple but i dont know how to even bring them over.... help?

I picked them up but ycouldnt fly. i got them by the "bring to home planet" key but it would really suck if i would have to make the other island my home (even if only temporarily) everytime, so i feel like i am missing something...

Not sure if there is a better way but I "park" my island above the island that need the animal, pick up the one I wanna bring over and just jump down to it.

Well thats one way! I was about to try that but i thought "surely that not how i am supposed to do it"...

After getting a few knowledge stones you'll get floating docks, which can be built out from your island to provide a bridge that doesn't collide with other islands (clipping through them) so its easy to run your animals across, suppress the invasive plants, get what you want, then send your pets back to your island and fly off. A birdhouse will also get you one animal slot filled (these don't seem to stack). Other than that, you'll just have to be patient; you'll have enough animals for these things eventually.

To expand, I'd advise having a fenced area near the edge of your island with your animals in it, and bridging out from that part of your island to reduce the amount of running. Also helps if this is near the place the animals spawn in when you send them back so they don't take much effort to reset them.

Thank you very much for your tipps! I already have the bird house in use and a pen next to the edge thankfully but i will make use of your tips and drop them down myself until i have these magical docks :)
