Major Co-op Issue
We encountered a major issue with the multiplayer mode. We started the adventure as a group of three on a dedicated server, and despite being in early access, the game is stunning: very few bugs and almost no optimization problems on our end. Even with just a few hours of gameplay, we’re already hooked and hope the content will expand over time. That said, we have no doubt the game has a bright future and will soar to new heights (pun intended).

However, one problem might push me to quit the adventure altogether: the floating island we spent several hours building together is tied to a single player (my character) rather than the group. As a result, when I disconnect, even on a dedicated server, my friends lose access to our base, which immediately dampened our enthusiasm.

Is there currently a solution to this issue? Or do we have to hope the developers will change this in the future?

+1 to this.

On my friends server tab are entries like "#REF!" where we suspect the options to join another base.

Didn't saw anything mentioned on the discord yet.

I noticed this as well. I'm playing with one friend currently.
I also found out you cannot have a single player world AND a new multiplayer world at the same time. This was like this in the demo too, made it really frustrating. Only one world per person at a time no matter what. Problem with this is that previous chests that you may have looted in your solo play are empty in your multiplay. Needs to be fixed immediately.

When a player disconnects, it's vital for multiplayer; otherwise, everyone will want to play alone... Even though it's so much more fun with others!

No informations ?

The game seems to have some crucial problems in coop. Will wait with buying to see if that ever gets fixed.

Well, it's playable in multiplayer, but it's not its strong point yet. I really hope for a change in this area because the game has tons of potential.
Would love to play this with a friend - so we'd love to see this fixed / properly implemented. Then it'd be an immediate buy. Looking great. And all that flying... so cool. :-)

We found a workaround because we face the same issue, your mates has to distrust you before you join again. When you are back on the server your mate is able to trust you again :)

So we're playing with 3 players... I claim an island... When I leave, my island disappears. What should I do to make it stay so they can continue playing without me? (Just to clarify, we're playing on a dedicated server...)

they claim their own island? you do know that each player can have one island?

so, the solution would be to copy the island 1:1 so, the one who goes offline makes poof and the other player calls his island in.

i mean, it got explained in the totorial that this would happen. all of you should have their own island tho o_o.

Yes, that's a possibility, but the goal is to have the same island to farm resources together, like in all survival games. But that's not the case right now. That's what's disappointing.

iunno how it would get changed either tho.
because every player is allowed to have 1 island around. imagine you play with friends, one of them decides to stop playing for whatever reason but then the island stays there FOREVER and you cant do anything about it @w@. i mean it would technicly not be a disturbance but still, that island will never ever vanish and noms forever on your server resources x3. (since growth and so own needs to get processed by the server.)

i still say everyone of you should just claim one. its much more fun to sail around in a fleet then sitting on 1 island. and who knows, someone can embark somewhere else like maybe back to the tier 1 zone to get stuff which isnt available in T2 tones etc. ^^

Hello,

Here is a similar problem. We started a game for two and spent a few hours in the world.
We have claimed a nice little island and set ourselves up nicely. But when my wife wants to send some animals to the island, it doesn't work because it's not ‘her home island’.

Please make it possible for several players to set up a shared island as their ‘home island’, otherwise the ‘co-op’ idea suffers a little.

What’s needed is a clan system where the island belongs to the clan, plain and simple. And when you’re part of a clan, you can’t have a personalized island other than the clan’s. Problem solved. It’s pretty straightforward, I think.

+1 to this, Want a single island where me and my partner can use with no issues.
