I generally like the idea of restoring ecos, but I feel kind of blocked right now, when I have to leave the animals behind AND what else the islands have to offer, since I just can't get enough animals for those demands.
They are supposed to, but I cannot get them to count even as 1
The requirements are particularly hard to meet early in the game when you don't have blueprints to place bird houses and can't breed sheep.
I've also a couple times seen "repair habitats" as a requirement but was completely unable to find the things I needed to repair. I don't know if they're hard to see, bugged, or I just don't know what the heck I'm looking for.
PS. I did this and found a buried chest, so well worth it
There are tons around. As soon as you have an island you can sail, you can go the entire way around the map, you're not just limited to the section you start in. You just can't go inwards without better sails. You should head to wherever you see a ? for progress.
