Destroyed muchroom bulb but the flower wont open!

i was destroying coruption and got all the little bulbs i could see but the flower ontop still isnt opening to come down to me- someone help

Some infected trees have bulbs high up in the air. They're too high for you to reach yourself. Later on in the game you will find something that helps you destroy those bulbs. You'll know it when you see it. Until then any effort on that island is waste, and you should just leave it alone.

there werent any in the sky that i could see- it was like the bulb i destroyed dissapeared or something

did you try exiting the render distance of it and coming back to it and/or exited out of the game and opened the world up again? Just trying to think of possible solutions akin to the whole "did you try turning it off and on again" mindset.
