Aloft
Can't even load past 99%
Constantly being told the "Unity engine is not responding" and straight up crashing.

Opening the game the first time may take a while, are you letting it do its thing or do you click on the screen?
check to see if you need any updates. Check your computer as well. It had been hapening to me. Once I updated my computer, all went well.
I did have an computer update, restarted but still getting the same message as the OP

Most people mention waiting 5-10min fixed it, I suggest trying that first!

Same problem 99%. The dispatcher visits the UnityCrashHandler64 process under Aloft and does not load. I started the game once on the third try, but now it just stopped starting altogether.

Same I was able to play for a bout 3 hours and mine won't go past initialising islands before I get a unity pop-up and then crash.

so if I even touch the mouse while game is loading I will get a unity crash. Now I can get it as long as i click play and hands off mouse lol. I then get maybe 1-2 hours of game play then a unity crash. The error code for me is Aloft - Unity 2021.3.12f1_8af3c3e441b1

so i had that...simply re-install
PC updated, waited 20 minutes on the seizure warning w/o clicking the mouse, reinstalled multiple times and still Unity engine not responding. So refund it is. Once there's a few updates or hotfixes I may revisit Aloft. It looks very promising.

Have tried re-installing multiple times now and still have the same issue. Any Dev response on the Unity errors and crashing by chance? Yes yes EA etc...
I fixed this shi* !
First you need to go to the nvidia control panel and enable the "vsync" option, then go to the NVIDIA app to manually add the game to the list and set the game option to "Power Management Mode - Normal". Then launch the game and wait. If you open the task manager, you will see the game loading something, in my case from the SSD, into the RAM. When the game loaded 4352 MB everything started.

similar problem. started the game fine the first time. tried to join a game, crashed in the loading screen. now it does not start anymore. i tried of course restarting PC, running it on dx11, running it without steam and nvidia overlay, reinstalled. always shows please wait, then black and nothing, tried waiting for 10 or so minutes.
Not knowing PC specs, I would start off doing a system update and more so, a driver update. Make sure to do a clean install. I have had this fix unity issue in the past.
Also concider uninstalling GeForce Experience if that is an option.
