How Can I Change the LOD in My Game? (RTX 4090, Tree Popping Issues)
Hi everyone,

I’m currently playing on an RTX 4090 and, overall, I’m very happy with the performance. However, there’s one thing that’s driving me crazy: trees and objects suddenly pop into view as I get closer (LOD issues). This completely ruins the immersion. 😤

I have a high-end system and want everything rendered in maximum quality without this constant popping.

Is there any way to manually adjust the LOD (Level of Detail)?
Perhaps through game settings, a config file, or mods?
Why is LOD even implemented when modern hardware can easily handle higher detail levels?

Looking forward to your tips and experiences!

Thanks in advance! 😊

------------------------------------------------------------

Hallo zusammen,

If you open the console commands (F1) I believe the command "lodbias X" will make the LODs load from further away. X can be anywhere between 0 and 100, with numbers closer to 100 making them load from further
ok can i make the lod higher or lod from shadow
i want lo complete off
There is also a Render Distance setting that High default doesn't set to Ultra (along with a couple others you can max further). The only one that really killed my 4090 was turning up Shadows another notch.
why is the picture so jarring?

like a filter...
Is it the LOD?

can you turn that off too? .. have no sheep textures!
and objects like leaves, trees, grass and shadows spawn in front of me!
lodbias X Unfortunately it doesn't do much... it's terrible. I hope there will be a setting in the graphics menu soon

Are there more F1 commands for graphics on Ultra?

and which ones are they?

That setting was just in the regular Graphics settings. If you go in there and go down the list, there are a few that you can increase a notch.
und grafik nicht so verpixelt aussiet....
