Home island change question
If you change your home island what happens to the animals you may have on the old island? What is the best way to move all of your stuff onto a new island?

You can have multiple home islands, as long as you don't delete your original homes kite everything should stay on it. The only effective way to move stuff from one island to another rn, is using another island as a middleman.
Good to know that I won't lose anything, hopefully they add a way to make moving easier in the future.

Any idea how to change home island? I get the message "you already have a home island"
remove the dragon kit you set to claim it as your home iland

you need to despawn your current home island. You can access your islands by going to the inventory and tabbing over to the island menu at the top of the screen.

This is only if you want to get rid of your claim over that island
I have had an interesting interaction in this area; I like to alternate home base (ie only one at a time) between a large island (for my animals) and small IBI island (to hold animals until I get enough to justify the trouble of switching back to the large island). Any yes, when despawned the animals are kept and brought back when respawned.

So I do all my animal collection on my IBI, and then manually drop them all off on a 3rd island... despawn my IBI home, respawn my large island home... then use the "hold animal and send them home" feature.

All is good as far as my large island is concerned; I have an ever-growing set of animals. The interesting thing is that whenever I switch back to my IBI... MOST of my animals I had collected (but moved off before despawning) reappear again. The animals names appear on both islands, and if I move them over AGAIN... I get more duplicates and they keep coming back on the IBI in later spawns again. I cant get rid of the little buggers!

So now I run around with on my IBI with occasional eggs/milk I guess... not a bad thnig, but not really my intention.... sometimes you just cant fight the system. . . . :steamhappy:
