Light Levels Too Low

at this point I see no point in building any lamps/torches in the game as they generate almost zero light. I guess they are going for moody lighting, but I want to avoid the eye strain. I could be wrong, but I think most people build lights to light things up.

Something weird on your setup. All lamps and torches provide light for me.

Umm. You did light them, didn't you ? You didn't just build them ?

The lights I use do not have an on/off, they are just on by default. I do not have access to dark wood yet, so Cannot make the linen ones. But the fiber ones and the flower light are just so dim that a ceiling light does not even put a light circle on the floor.

I agree. I have torches along a walkway by my farm plots and get almost no light on the plots. Just the walkway. There is not much reach for the lights. I just try do do all the work on the farm plots during the day time. But the lights do look great at night just not too much illumination.
