Well it could just be a misleading since I found the drift wood on a few islands already but nothing like that desert wood that is dark wood getting near the last temple and then I will have to try and find if there are any desert islands tha tI can find the dark wood on.
No, this is intentional. "Regular" wood is dark on the outside (Darkbark) but light on the inside (where it is seen when used as a material). Darkwood is light on the outside, but dark on the inside (kinda like an extreme version of Mahogany trees). The color is a reference to the finished products.
