Do knowledge stones teach you things you already know ?
Late in the game, I'm getting suspicious that the few remaining knowledge stones are always teaching me things I already know. Do any of you know for sure ?

In my experience, they teach you variants of the same things if not something new.

I am of two minds about this; on one hand I KNOW I had sketched "Adobe Wall", and also got a knowledge stone later for the same thing. But Adobe Walls have 3 different variations... did I sketch the one variation and get the another one through knowledge stone? I dont know....

I suspect this early in EA, it might also be a bug where it doesnt know what you have sketched, but I dont know. It used to be that knowledge stones can run out of things to teach you when you know everything, and give nothing. . .

Can finally confirm. I just got a knowledge stone which taught me nothing. It didn't teach me something I already knew, it just went dark without any information showing. So I think I got to the end of what they can teach.

Given how many islands there are, I suspect that it's roughly at the end point you'd be if you started a new character and explored every island in one world.

They're also biome specific! Youve learned everything in that biome, but going to red cliffs should teach more stuff

In Red Cliffs, I learned the recipe for a Linen Chair that I had already learned in Fallen Heights (I think I sketched it somewhere).

Is it the inclined chair? If so thats just a texture bug, one of them is supposed to be darkwood but they look identical for now, but they are indeed separate objects!

It'll teach you things that you already sketched. at a certain point where where the stones just keeps giving me the same tech, ill stop activating them because its just more or less a waste of time.

And why are you working at this hour?! Didn't you say that devs need weekends?
