Bug net recipe?

Some insects require a net and I've search and searches for the answer and tried them but still haven't figured out how to make one. Can anyone help?

The bug net can be crafted on the workbench; the recipe is wood, carved wood, brightsun flower, and 2 wool threads :)

Is there some trick to this? Brightsun Flower cannot be added to the Workbench recipe at all.

If I add Carved Wood first, then can't add regular Wood nor Wool Thread.
If I add regular Wood first, then can't add Carved Wood nor Wool Thread.
If I add 2x Wool Thread first, then can't add Carved nor Regular Wood.

Your specificity suggests that it probably wasn't user error (assuming you're not trying to use Moonglow Blossoms or some other flower). I had no such trouble when I did it (twice), so there's something strange going on. I haven't been able to try the most recent patch, yet, so maybe it broke there. Hrm...

Hard to say as I only just tried for the first time just before the time of that comment so I'm on the most recent patch. Ironically my game crashed shortly after so I won't get to test again until tomorrow.

I just downloaded a couple days ago and am also completely unable to add bright sun flower as an ingredient
