Could we PLEASE have multiple hot bars?
The amount of item swapping that has to be done constantly in order to play this game is nauseating. We've evolved beyond this, and there's no reason to be limited to one hotbar.

Even better would be if you just copy some of the other games that respect players' time. For example, some games give a special slot for the active tool, and just auto-swap the tool depending on what you're trying to do. ie, if you approach a tree and click on it, it automatically changes to the axe.

At the very least, having multiple hotbars is not difficult to implement and would remove a lot of tedium.

And if you're going to suggest that this is intentional because there is a clothing item that gives you two more slots, to that I say, why are you deliberately making your game un-fun? No one, literally no one, enjoys constantly opening the inventory to swap out tools and seeds and stuff. It's just not fun. Making the game bad and then adding upgrades to make it normal is and always will be bad game design.

I love everything else about it though. Good work.

I have one set of tools I need when on my own island. Mostly for farming and tending machines.

I have another set of tools I use when on other islands. Mostly weapons.

I would gladly give up one of my keyboard keys currently used for a slot, probably '0', to be able to switch between nine other hotbar items.

Could just use the scroll wheel, or maybe with a modifier like Alt if needed.
A multi-hot bar is something I'd like too, I'm now in the second ring and with the bow added, I just have to swap all the time when exploring which makes it really annoying.
That or allowing players to use the two books and a torch from another hotkey, without taking space in the hotbar so long as you have them in the inventory.
Same for bandages that really should be usable from inventory, like food and water is.
It's dumb to me that the slots stop at 8. there are four more buttons on the number row to utilize. Every other survival game goes at least to 9. It's just an odd choice.

You can have 10 slots if you craft heat-resistant clothes.
