Question 4 Devs about v2 Demo saves
I was curious to know if our saved games from the new v2.0 Multiplayer Demo will be usable in the full release of the game?
As I would love to be able to continue to use my island base that I have crafted in this new demo in the full release of the game as well.

Hope a Dev or someone can comment on this.

I would like to know this as well. I highly doubt it considering how many changes we can expect for the EA release, but it sure would be nice.

I hope they will carry over. As I LOVE my lil relaxation base island. I honestly have not enjoyed a build in a survival game this much in a long time. I am finding I am loading the game up to just walk an fly around my base.

Seems unlikely. The 'world' in the full game is going to be very different to the world we see now. Also, you're not even playing the same Steam game: the game itself is one game, the demo you're playing now is another. I would expect to throw the demo away.

Probably not. I saw this game demo on an games-fest show. Downloaded it, played it, had a ton of fun and was just getting ready to build all the stuff to fly my first island after I got home that night... and they did an update that completely wiped and changed everything. Also removed a ton of stuff in the process so... you know - it's a work in progress :)

Bummer. Hate to see my beautiful base lost later. But I have enjoyed the demo greatly. Really looking foward to the full game!
Lots of the fun is in building the base anyway. You'll make a better one! Currently that's most of the game's point! I don't mind losing old saves.

I've built many bases only to seem them lost when the next version of the demo came out. My understanding is that you can reactivate old versions if you want to revisit them, but I've never done it. Take a screenshot as a memento if you want, but the fun is in the building, not the having.

Unfortunately they will likely not be compatible at release as major work is still being done in terms of optimisation and file structuring.
