It *might* not be a bug! When you click on a "save", you only load the world. All your progress (inventory, knowledge, etc) is saved independently with your character. So if you load a world you started as "Stephanie" but with "Simon" instead, you'll be playing as Simon, with his inventory, blueprints, etc.
I presume that if I save a game, and then restart Steam and reload that save, I should remain in the same place on the same island.
I don't like it. The separate character / world save. It doesn't really make logical sense. Unless the finished game is going to go in some very different direction. But now I'd rather have your character and world as just one save. Save and load the world, and the character comes with it, as last you saved him. Don't want to be able to move characters between worlds.
Is this some idea for multiplayer? I can't see how multiplayer would work either, though I generally play games alone.
